On May 24–25, delegates from across Canada gathered for the XXI General Meeting of the Polish Canadian Women’s Federation (Federacja Polek w Kanadzie – FPK). Representatives from branches in the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Windsor came together for two days of meaningful discussions, collaboration, and strategic planning that will help shape the future of the Federation.
The General Meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the Federation’s accomplishments, review reports from the previous term, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our organization. Delegates exchanged ideas on strengthening membership, increasing community engagement, modernizing operations, preserving our rich history, and ensuring that the Federation continues to serve future generations of Polish Canadian women.
As the Federation prepares to celebrate its 70th Anniversary, participants shared a common vision for the years ahead—one that builds on our proud legacy while embracing innovation, stronger communication, digital transformation, and increased collaboration among branches across Canada. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to preserving Polish heritage, supporting women in leadership, engaging younger generations, and strengthening the Federation’s role within the Polish Canadian community.
A significant milestone of the General Meeting was the election of a new National Board, entrusted with leading the Federation into this exciting new chapter.
