On May 24–25, delegates from across Canada gathered for the XXI General Meeting of the Polish Canadian Women’s Federation (Federacja Polek w Kanadzie – FPK). Representatives from branches in the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Windsor came together to review the Federation’s work, discuss future priorities, and elect a new National Board.
The Federation extends its sincere congratulations to the newly elected leadership and wishes them every success as they guide the organization into its next chapter. Their term will be especially significant as the Federation prepares to celebrate its 70th Anniversary in the coming year.
A highlight of the Convention was the elegant Gala Banquet, which brought together delegates, distinguished guests, and leaders of the Polish Canadian community for an evening of celebration, fellowship, and recognition.
Among the honoured guests were Marek Ciesielczuk, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto, accompanied by his wife Beata Ciesielczuk; Iwona Malinowski; Bonnie Crombie; Andrzej Felińczak and Barbara Stadnik; Juliusz Kirejczyk and Iwona Kirejczyk; Kazimierz Chrapka and Wiesława Chrapka; Teresa Szramek; Bożena Jokel; Leszek Błaszczak; Zofia Soja; and Teresa Berezowska.
The banquet provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Federation’s accomplishments, strengthen friendships, and recognize the dedication of the volunteers and community leaders who continue to preserve Polish heritage and serve the Polish Canadian community.
As the Federation looks ahead to its milestone 70th anniversary, the spirit of unity, collaboration, and volunteer service demonstrated throughout the Convention and Gala Banquet serves as a strong foundation for the future.
